No Limit Texas Holdem Strategy

Possibly The Greatest Addition You Can Make To Your Game

The tension is great... Bet!! Raise!! All in!!

Your opponent calls. They have just lost with high pair aces against your five high straight and now you have all their chips!!!

That is the dream scenario, to felt your opponents with ease. I have found that adopting this one no limit texas holdem strategy greatly increased my ability to take large amounts of my opponents stacks at once.

This strategy is used by some of the greatest and most dangerous hold em players in the world such as Doyle Brunsun and Sami Farha.

Well, what is this no limit texas holdem strategy?

Basically it involves a range of commonly ignored hands and how you play them.

Suited only hands: 3-4 suited, 4-5 suited, 5-6 suited, 6-7 suited.

Unsuited or suited hands: 2-4, 3-5, 4-6, 5-7.

The goal with these hands is to go up against high hands like 10 pairs or higher, AK or AQ.

Before the flop you will call 90% of the time and raise 2-3 times the big blind 10% of the time. You will also call bets and raises up to a reasonable level.

On the flop you are hoping to hit 2 pair or an open ended straight draw. Then you can trap your opponent and take all their chips later on.

Here is an example of this no limit texas holdem strategy in action:

You have 3-4 suited before the flop. Your opponent has KJ unsuited. They raise 2x the big blind and you are the only one to call. The flop comes K-3-4 rainbow. Now you have 2 pair to their top pair with good kicker. Lead out betting the pot size or more and then watch as they lose all their chips most of the time.

Now consider the same situation with a different flop, say K-8-2. Now you have an easy decision to fold so you have only lost your initial investment. One of most players worst problems is that they do not know when they are beat. In this case you know when you are best, and you can lay the hand down.

One thing to remember: only do this if your stack to blind difference is fairly large. You do not want to commit a large part of your stack on a series of hands you have to fold fairly often. Do not let the gambling/fun factor trick you into doing this when you cannot afford to.

Once you practice this no limit texas holdem strategy and make it part of your regular arsenal, you will find yourself taking more and more of your opponents chips!
